Happy Father’s day – again.

Apparently, there is Father’s day – again – some place in the world. I personally believe this is a hoax because there are nearly as many days in the year as Father’s Day

.

In Spain we celebrate it March 19th, the day dedicated to San Joseph, supposedly the first father – which makes some sense to me because, despite the shady situation about that pregnancy, he was the first father as per our modern calendar.

Anyway, Happy Father’s day to all the dads – known and unknown – in the world.

    • The mailman just brings the mail; the milkman brings dairy products…
An alternative -and smarter- version, maybe?

I like fathers-day. I always need a tie, a new pair of socks – and breakfast in bed. Women have mothers-day, several of them – and March 8th. In addition, in this country, women are so liberated that some of our men has to import not so liberated women from not so developed countries – like asian countries and former Sovjet-republics.

It probably says more about the men than about the women…

Lots of our liberated women, are so liberated, that in private – they have a need to be taken care of, relax a bit – be not so liberated, be women. It’s hard for some men to maneuver in these new waters – new roles, new expectations – so heck – yeah, men deserve this day.

I firmly believe that the two species – our differences, makes more to one plus one than in mathematics. Still, in this country – the days of the year are divided between the sexes, not all of them, because most of the days beling to our new princes and princesses.

I will get an sms second sunday of november. They are grown, and they became good people. Just as well, I don’t like crumbs between my sheets.

    • l think you may get more than 1 sms the 2nd sunday of November. And you will probably get crumbs between your sheets… and you will love it!

      😀

      This:

“Lots of our liberated women, are so liberated, that in private – they have a need to be taken care of, relax a bit – be not so liberated, be women. It’s hard for some men to maneuver in these new waters – new roles, new expectations – so heck – yeah, men deserve this day.”

lt is a fact that women, even those ones with a 100% job outside the house, have the heavy role at home, so yes, l believe women have the right to be women, loosen up, be taken care for the husbands.

lt is not that complicated: listen, cuddle, help – or simply just show up. Maybe that time is the time we are the simplest. The result: everybody wins.

PS: l really expect some pampering, caring and tons of crumbs in my bed… and again, you will love it!.

*In between all this housekeeping – my female co-attendent is working and I’m doing some domestic ‘ ehhh*

I am not saying women don’t deserve – I am saying men has another role today, than som decades ago – and in this country, the need for sufragettes is almost gone.

Of course – doing the “taking care of” is necessary. Runs both ways. It’s even – and I know your post is with a twist of homor – but even so, it’s a dash of personal opinion as well – and I disagree.

The mother’s days comes in loads – women are queens and princesses – dutchesses, all kinds of royalty. Women pick cherries – they tend to forget all the man-stuff like lawn moving (thanks subWOW) car-stuff, hammers & screwdrivers.

Vacuuming, dishes, clothes, shoping for the week-end – all this is supposed to be shared 50/50 – and the other stuff is not so clear 50/50 share.

        — Come iron the curtains!
        — But I’m changing tyres?!?
        — Well yeah, you’re a good boy – but this is how I choose to divide the work between us.

        — Go clean the bathroom, and I’ll do the bedroom.
        — How about the other way around?
        — No, this is how I w…

Luckily I don’t have such issues – and neither do you. This is the boys nagging – those still in a relationship – a friday they were allowed out the door.

You are the kings Queen – not his servant.

        • mm.. l am not sure where we disagree…

maybe in the fact the this post was about “father’s day”, not “husband’s day”?

We disagree at the point where you sai it’s fathers day nearly every day – and then my mind starts wandering – and i forget the main point 🙂

  6. It is all so much easier if you pay the teenager down the street to mow the lawn. 🙂
